Free and Compulsory Education Ordinance
According to this law, the State must provide free and compulsory education to all children. This ordinance is applicable to all the major provinces of Pakistan, including Punjab, Sindh, Federal Capital, KPK, Balochistan, and AJK.
Student Discipline Laws
Teachers and school administrators may discipline students to maintain order in the classroom and on campus. The types of discipline may include after-school detention or suspension and expulsion in severe situations. The use of corporal punishment is strictly prohibited.
Right to Appear in Exams
Students have the right to appear in examinations that test their educational aptitude within their given capacity. In Pakistan, examinations are administered starting from the elementary level. Board exams are conducted from 9th class to 12th class, which are the matric and intermediate years, respectively.
